Books and Flowers

Brent has been a fan of the author David Liss for a long time (I have just recently become a fan as well and tell everyone that likes historical fiction to go and read his books) and Brent had wrote to Mr. Liss about the time that we got married, so 4 years, to tell him that he really liked his work. Mr. Liss wrote Brent back and then requested Brent on his myspace. We had thought that was the end of it but about a month ago Mr. Liss writes to Brent on his myspace asking if he would like to recieve an advanced copy of his next book and review it on the web. Of course Brent was pretty excited about it and then he recieved the book about a week later. It is called the Devils Company and is the third of a series, the first of the series is: Conspiracy of Paper, and the second is: A Spectical of Corruption. The Devils Company comes out mid July.

We have a few rose bushes downstairs from our apartment and today I decided that I really wanted to have some flowers, so I went down and cut a few of them. I wasn't sure how they would look in a bouquet because they were very open but they turned out really beautiful.

Finally....potty training.

So we think that Isaac is ready for potty training. He has been wanting to pee like daddy and has gone in the toilet a few times but it was to big for him so today we went and got him his own toitet and pullups he is so excited, probably not as excited as we are but it is really cute.

Birthday

So Brent's birthday was yesterday, he turned 25 years old. We didnt really do anything but we did have to go home early from work so we enjoyed a couple hours at home while Isaac was still at day care. I made him some strawberry shortcake but that was all that we did. It was really good though. Hopefully next year we can do more but it was still really nice to just have a night off together.

I love you babe and can't imaine my life without you. Happy birthday.

My Mothers

Mom, I am so thankful for you. Thank you for being so patient and understanding, I can only hope that I will be the kind of mother that you are. I am sorry for all of the things that I have put you through throughout the years, I know I wasnt the easiest child. Thank you for all of the love and support that you have shown me and still do. I could not have asked for a better mother.

Linda, you are such a blessing in my life. I know many women that cannot stand there mother-in-laws and I feel so sorry for them. You are a fantastic mother. You have raised an amazing son. Brent is such a good husband, and an absolutly wonderful father and he could only have been those things because of his parents. Thank you for raising such a good man.
I love you both and thank you again for being such great examples to our family. Happy Mothers Day.

Mothers Day

I have the best husband ever. Brent got me the coolest machine. It is called the Cricut (said like the bug) and I just want to tell anyone that likes to scrapbook or be crafty in any way to go and get this machine. It is so cool it will cut anything and it even etches glass! I didnt have much time, but here are 2 scrapbook pages that I did in like 15 min-everything is cut by the machine. The pages are pretty plain but like I said I didnt have much time, I just really wanted to use it. And I think they still look pretty good.

Also, thank you to Jen for blogging about the makeup because, in the spirit of it being mothers day and all, Brent got me some make up. For those of you who dont know, there is this website http://www.eyeslipsface.com/shop.asp that sells cheap makeup. It sells its products for 1 dollar, and if you use the coupon code CAROLINA on purchases of 15 dollars or more you will save $7.50, you do have to pay shipping though. It has been featured in Allure, Lucky, and Elle magazines, so I am assuming it is pretty good. Mothers, use this excuse to splurge just a little bit more and get some makeup for really cheap.

Hair Cut

We decided to give Isaac a haircut, which I really hate to do cause I love his hair, but it was getting pretty out of control. So here are the before, during, and after shots of his beautiful hair. I do it myself, I'm not the best but good enough.

He looks so different, he kept wanting to look at himself in the mirror and would just laugh and laugh. I was scared that he would be really upset cause he still sucks his thumb and twirls his hair but he did really good about it.
